Yeah, in the news again.. The last time this happened was (click here) and (click here too).
Okay. Ya got me. It’s really Photoshop and I’m just having a little fun. And yes, a looming recession? I’m pretty nervous. Man, just getting over the last one … was the first one I had to deal with as a working adult, and honestly, that one freakin sucked.

Meet Suwph (pronounced Joe). This is Megan’s first stuffed animal that she named. She has a ton of other stuffed animals, but Suwph was a gift from a classmate. And she likes to draw Suwph. She spells his name S-U-W-P-H and calls him “Joe.”

Much ado about love – guess one is never too young. I just couldn’t believe that it would be so soon. This very incident happened about six months or so ago, about when Megan had just turned four. It’s just been on my mind since and I figured I’d better write about it before too many other experiences overlap this one. Fingers crossed it won’t be that soon.
One night, we had just tucked Megan in bed and she was fast starting to fall asleep. Nothing like the warm feeling of sleep embarking – so I thought. It was apparent that she wasn’t going to fall asleep just yet, but instead, was hanging onto a thought. She stiffened slightly as she spoke to me in a soft voice and told me about a boy. The dude that sits behind the big McDonald’s voice at the drive-thru window. I didn’t think it was possible, but I did it. I pissed him off. It wasn’t really on purpose. It was just more of the outcome of the event. I do understand that there must be some gratitude of great power to be able to hide behind the large menu board magically knowing when people arrive to then properly announce, “Welcome to McDonald’s. May I take your order?” leaving us just a little mystified wondering how they actually knew we were there to begin with. But just alike the great wizard in the land of Oz, when Toto reaches behind and pulls away the curtain, I know every powerful position has it’s limitations. Continue Reading »
